Heavy breathing, I opened my eyes slowly then shot up. "Gerard… Gerard…" A sexual feminine voice whispered my name. I looked around. No one. I was so not focused on the broken wrist I had just acquired but on the fact I had no idea where I was. Ignoring the pain, I listened to the dead silence except for the high heels on the pavement drawing nearer.
"Who was I running from? What was I running from?" The outline of a figure stood in the shadows then walked under the lamp light. My jaw dropped. "Eliza?" In the blink of an eye she sprouted fangs and lurched towards me.
